Picked up a really sweet bike, at a really sweet deal, yesterday. Ultrega and 105 componets, at a $1000.
I’ll have a longer review later. I got the bike out for an easy 30 miler this morning, and I’m very impressed. Rides great, handles well. I’ll have a longer review later (kind of pressed for time)
Still not sure if I’m ready to be eaten alive tomorrow. Somehow, a long ride in the country, on my new bike, sound better.
Not exactly an easy course for me to get back into racing!
I just got back from an easy ride. Felt really good.
I did have to ease back a bit. I got caught in the rain and had to deal with wet streets. Now I have to clean the grime off the bike. I had planned to ride a few laps of the course. Maybe later
I’m down to 181. I’m feeling great!
Enough talking. Now its time to race.
I submitted my entry for the Tour of Grandview this weekend. I will race with the Masters on Sunday. Do I feel ready? Not really. Although I am excited and nervous at the prospects of becoming pack fodder.
I do feel I have made very good progress as far as conditioning is conerned. Ive been training smarter. So what the Hell!
What a day.
Sunny, high 70’s. A little humid, but what a beautiful day. Got the bike off the rollers, and out on the road. For some reason, I decided to take the bike path. Bad ideal, seems like everyone else decided to do the same.
It was still a good, fun ride.
Yesterday was another great ride.
I had a hard time sleeping Saturday night. Why? Because I was pschyed after Saturday’s ride. Am I really ready to race? No. But I had such a great time and ride Satuday. It is great to be part of a team. And the fact that I was able to hang with them was really encouraging.
That being said, I think I may jump into the Tues Crit Series. It’s all in fun. no prizes, no places. Good place to get back into racing. I will get shelled, but it’s only a training series. Why not.
