One think I’ve needed to do is pick up my training intensity. I guess I have been kind of lazy. And, we are getting closer to the “off season” so I feel I need to get my fitness level up. I’m sure it will help with my hockey as well.
Since last week, I’ve been riding really well. Every ride has been high intensity, my average pace has increased, and most important, I’ve been holding up well for the most post.
I did a 20 mile TT on Tuesday and rode at an average of 19.9. I know, some may say big whop, but I was pleased with effort. I thought it was great considering the way I have not been training and taking into consideration that I’ve only 6 months into my training.
Legs have felt great! I’ve been experience some pain in my right ankle. Not constant, usually only when I get up from sitting or lying down.
I’m going to take today off, and probably tomorrow, to see if that helps. Probably nothing, but better safe than sorry.
I am kinda of psyched. Fall session starts this weekend. I feel ready (I am going to drop in today, and will try to hit one on Saturday). My team – Perpetual Motion.
