It was a tough 7-2 loss last night.
It was tough for me. There were some line adjustments, meaning I did not have the same D in front of me last night. They did play a good solid game, although there were some lapses. I made some good saves, but we weren’t clearing the rebounds. The captain was apologetic, and offered encouragement to me in the team email.
Rough sledding last night to say the least. That was a quality team that obviously had their act together. Thanks for battling in the net Dave, I’ve seen my share just pack it in on a night like that… you made some great first saves, as a whole, we just didn’t take care of business in front of the net for you… never mind “Gigantor the Goalie” at the other end. It’s not like we didn’t generate any offensive pressure… I’m pretty sure that guy was the monster in that new “Cloverfield” movie!
And to be honest, we had a tough time offensively. Not that we weren’t getting any shots, but we couldn’t find a way to get anything past a goalie this size of the monster in Cloverfield!
BUT…. I gave up goals of weird deflections that could have made the difference.
And not to make excuses, but I did have a Crohn’s flareup that did have an impact on my game. I hate you Crohn’s !!!!
