I do feel a lot better this morning despite the restless night.
I took a Nyquil and was in bed by 8PM. I slept soundly until 11:30, when the tornado warnings went off. I got up and turned on the weather, and Channel 10 was saying the NWS has seen possible rotation on the radar and issued a warning until 12:30AM. I went over to Channel 4 and he said he was suprised that a tornado warning had been issued. I decided I would go back to bed, and if I heard hail, I was heading for the basement.
(I appreciate the fact the NWS is trying to give notice. Whenever they give a tornado warning, the local stations interupt all programing until “the danger is past”. Seems like we have had a string of “cry wolfs” recently, which make me wonder how many people are becoming complacent. I know I did last night, and having been raised in North Texas, I know the threat of tornadoes is nothing to be complacent over)
1245AM- I hear the siren again. I checked the news, they were having problems turning off the alarms. Back to bed.
1:30AM – Lightning and thunder wake me up
2:00AM- Puka tries to push me out of bed
2:45- Lightning and thuder, again
3:00- Puka, again, tries to push me out of bed
3:30- Lightning and thunder.
Alarms goes off at 4:30. I hear more thunder.
I emptied 3 1/2 inches out of the gauge this mornning, and sound like tonight will be a repeat performance
